Hands down Treasure Trooper is the best free site on the internet. Instead of giving away prizes like some sites do almost exclusively, Treasure Trooper pays cold, hard cash. Well, not actual cash, they pay using either PayPal or a money order, but, you get the picture. I’ve been on the site for around 2 years but most of that time I was wrapped up in my studies or work. So, I estimate that I’ve spent roughly 4 months actually using the site and here are my stats:

As you can see, between the amount I’ve already been paid and with the amount due, I’ve made well over 200 bucks. I’ve spent no money (as you can see from my 0 shopping earnings) and I haven’t worked very hard getting referrals. Virtually all of my money comes from completing free and easy offers and doing short 5 minutes surveys that usually pay between $.75 and $3.00. Not only is this site simple and well paying, its actually pretty fun. Keeping with there “Treasure” theme you get a gold coin with every offer you complete and you play a game after each offer that gives you a 1 in 3 shot of getting a pearl. These along with Platinum coins (that can be earned from certain special offers) can be used to buy things like Amazon Gift Cards, Visa Gift cards or Electronics. Also, they can be saved and used for their famous Treasure Hunt, which I’ve almost completed. It is difficult and will require you to save all of your coins and pearls but if you complete it, pays 100 bucks. They also have a fun, new slot machine that you can use your gold coins in to win prizes like platinum coins, a free dollar or 1 of 4 special prizes that, if all are collected, also pays you 100 bucks. So not only can you earn tons of extra cash from offers and surveys, even more cash if you do a lot of online shopping, a few bucks here and there from Referring others, their extra games are also fun and can pay you up to 200 bucks plus cool, free prizes. I would recommend this site highly to anyone who is looking to have some fun and to make a nice chunk of extra change!

Swagbucks.com is one of the newer sites that I’ve tried. Like most sites they reeled me in claiming Free Prizes with little effort and like every other time I’ve seen this, I was quite skeptical from the get go. However, this site actually made well on there promise. Not only easy, but quite unique compared to other site that I’ve tried, Swagbucks quickly made a very positive impression on me. Instead of asking you to complete offers from other sites or do surveys to win cash or prizes, you simply use their search engine just like you would use Google, Yahoo or one of countless other on the web. The best part is their site is actually powered by Google and Ask.com, two of the most respected and reputable search sites on the internet, so it really doesn’t change anything at all. In my first two weeks with relatively no effort I had already racked up enough points for a $25 Gift Card to one of my favorite restaurants. I was ecstatic! About 75% of the points I earned come from using their search engine. These other quarter came from a new edition to their site, Swag Codes. Posted once or twice daily on their Twitter and Facebook pages, and also tracked by a Widget (check the bottom left of this page for my widget), these sites give free points (usually 1 or 2 at a time) simply for copying and pasting the given code into the SwagCode Box on their homepage. A few minutes of searching and a few minutes of checking for Swag codes earned me my first $25 gift card in about 12 days. Not only that, the site has made everything easier for their members with a new toolbar available on Safari, Mozilla and Internet Explorer that easily helps you find codes, use their search engine and access their site.
